So many of you have been so sweet to ask about our sweet J. Here is an update...
One of the sweetest moments of my life- J-man was able to come to the hospital to visit after Chickadee was born. We were a family of 4 for the afternoon!
J returned back to his mom on 10.17.11. We are just thrilled for Mom and for J. Mom and I text regularly and they seem to be doing great. She mentions that he wears her out everyday with all his energy! Yup, same sweet J!
I am hoping to see both of them very soon. Our community group wanted to throw her a shower to help her stock up on some of the essentials now that J is back home. We are planning for that on 12.4. Oh how I love my community group! Talk about serving hearts!
Mom has been continuing to take J to his music class that the two of us enjoyed together. I'm so grateful that God has allowed the two of them to enjoy this experience together and that J gets to continue to develop his obvious musical skill. I am planning on joining them for a class in a few weeks.
God is so good. Our "good-bye" was not a "forever good-bye". And in the midst of this I have gained a new friend, J's mom. Wow. I am blessed. This is not the typical fostering-story that I hear, so I know that this was just a work of God.
Thank you all for your prayers and support while J was with us! We are excited to see God's continued working in J's life and around him.
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
Our new addition arrived Saturday, October 15th at 1:41am. I cannot put into words how in love we are with this little girl.
A brief overview of our birthing experience-
Induction started on Thursday. Officially went into labor on Friday. I heart epidurals. Started pushing that evening. Had her pushed down in about an hour. The little chunky monkey was too big and got stuck in my pelvic bone. Unbeknownst to us that she was stuck at the time, I kept pushing for another 2 hours. C-section time! VUALA- Little Chickadee arrived at 1:41am. This equaled one happy and very pooped family.
Babies are absolute miracles.
Can't wait for #2 now! Don't worry, Bart already knows.

Please pray with us as we pray for our Chickadee- that she would know Jesus and love Him and live to serve Him.
